Monroe County Volunteer Humane Society is Closing

The Monroe County Volunteer Humane Society in Madisonville, Tennessee is closing due to financial reasons.

They currently have 160 animals (a few cats, mostly dogs) that need to be adopted into homes or placed with rescue groups.

Dog breeds include: Pit Bull Terrier Greyhound, Collie, German Shepherd Dog Border Collie, Spaniel, Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler, Doberman Pinscher, Labrador Retriever, Terrier, Catahoula Leopard, Beagle, Bluetick Coonhound, Bull Terrier, Chow Chow, Golden Retriever, Plott Hound, Pointer, Newfoundland, Schnauzer mix, Pug/Retriever mix, a Finnish Spitz/Fox Terrier mix, Boxer and a small Poodle.
