Give a Dog A Home Morning Glory the Lhasa mix in GeorgiaFebruary 03, 2004 1:42 a.m. Tuesday Morning Glory (love that name!) is a Lhasa Apso mix available for adoption from LAP Special Friends in Atlanta, Georgia. They rescued her from the streets, cleaned her up, removed her mats, de-fleaed her and now are waiting for a very special person to give her a home. Morning Glory has to take medication for Cushing's disease but don't let that hold you back from considering adoption. I have a Shih Tzu with Cushing's and she is doing really well, thanks to medication and a wonderful vet. LAP stands for Lifeline Animal Project. Go take a look at their main website. What a wonderful organization! They're putting in a lot of time and effort to get animals adopted and to stop pet overpopulation. One of their programs is LAP Special Friends, which helps special needs animals like Morning Glory find homes. To see more of their special needs animals, please look here. I especially like Ray Charles. Another great feature for those of you living in the greater Atlanta area, is their searchable virtual shelter. This will really help in your search for that new family member!
