Oompa Loompa is at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas, California, and it sounds like she has had a pretty hard life so far. She's been diagnosed with some malignant tumors (but isn't in any pain) and just needs a place to live out the rest of her days.
(By the way, this is how I ended up with my Sophie dog. She was originally going to be a temporary visitor until a good home for found, but then the vet discovered several mammary tumors. They were never biopsied but the vet felt they were malignant. We took his word for it and decided to just keep her and keep her comfortabnle for as ling as possible. Here we are, two years, three months later, and the dog is happy, healthy and HUGE. Well, if you thought your dog was dying, you'd feed her good stuff all the time too.)
