Give a Dog A Home Cory the Cocker Needs a HomeJuly 3, 2003 12:36 a.m. Thursday From A.D.O.P.T: Cory's story is one of the saddest cases of neglect we have seen. He came to us as a pathetic mess from an animal control facilty, his ears and face full of maggots. After living like this for who knows how long, he is still a happy and outgoing boy. Cory is currently undergoing surgery to rebuild his ear canals, but we are not sure if his hearing will be restored to any degree. Cory is also at least ten pounds overweight. It is puzzling to think someone was overfeeding him, yet unaware he was hosting a colony of maggots in his head. Cory is a 7-8 yr. old purebred buff Cocker. It is our sincere hope that we can find wonderful, caring people who will let him live the second half of his life as a cherished pet. This dog is located in Illinois.
