Give a Dog A Home Midwestern Shih Tzu for AdoptionMarch 13, 2004 3:20 a.m. Saturday If you are looking for a Shih Tzu, Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue has some cuties available for adoption (their site loads kind of slowly for me so be patient). Sammy is four years old and his foster home is in Illinois. He had some fear aggression at first but it sounds like he is really coming along nicely. I love the picture of him at the bottom of the page. Beamer is about 8 yrs old, friendly, likes to snuggle, is good with other dogs. He's being fostered in Wisconsin.
Hiker is a senior Tzu who is blind and looking for a quiet home in Texas. See all of their availble dogs on the Fuzzy Pawz Petfinder page. If you have some time, take a look at Rocky's story. Rocky is safe in foster care now and no longer in an abusive environment but he still has a long way to go. It's so awful what some of these poor little dogs go through before they are placed with a rescue group. I don't understand how anyone could hurt one of these furballs, or to any dog. I'm really happy and thankful to know there are some special caring people out there who take these babies in and work with them to try to undo the lasting effects of abuse.
