Give a Dog A Home Shih Tzu Rescue, Adoption and Education Safehouse in IllinoisFebruary 29, 2004 3:54 a.m. Sunday I just happened to see a picture of Maxwell down to the left where you see photos of dogs listed on Petfinder come up, and since he was a Shih Tzu, I had to click it. Maxwell is with Shih Tzu Rescue, Adoption and Education Safehouse (S.T.R.A.E.S.). This is a rescue organization providing shelter, care, and an adoption program for Shih Tzu in the Chicago area. For more information on their adoption policies and how to help, please click here. To see a list of their adoptable Shih Tzu, please click here. In addition to a bunch of Shih Tzu, they currently have two Japanese Chin up for adoption, Tuck and Jackie Chin who they would like to place together. Also, check out Benji, the Lhasa/Poodle mix, (he reminds me of my Sophie), and Aldi the Lhasa. And, if you have a few extra dollars to spare and would like to help in the care of one of their permanent residents, please consider Kwan Foo, (who looks like my first Shih Tzu), Lady the Lhasa, Joey, who is gorgeous, and tiny Channa. Thanks for clicking! And, remember, if a Petfinder link doesn't work, the dog is no longer available (let's hope that's because it was adopted).
